20 years of coaching and problem solving in one product: The Original Block!

Becki Crum has been teaching gymnastics for more than 20 years. In fact, at only 19 years old, she opened her first gym. 

Becki's focus has always been on helping other coaches teach, and it all started with one of the fundamentals of our sport: the cartwheel. Before the Block, Becki and her team of coaches watched kids doing cartwheels between the gym wall and an incline. Over and over they watched students kicking the wall which, of course, it didn’t feel too good!

Becki took her first-hand experience and creativity and went to the drawing board. Soon, she designed The Original Block: a cartwheel and conditioning block with a myriad of uses to assist both students and coaches for quick results. The Original Block was a hit, and even children who couldn't be in the gym 5 days a week began using the block at home to build their strength and skill.

After launching The Original Block (which is made from start to finish in the USA, right here in Ohio!), Becki ventured into offering other products perfect for gymnastics students and gym owners alike. If it made her gym better or helped with overhead costs, Becki found a way to offer it to her peers in the industry. And, her heart for Jesus shines through as she continues to give back with various initiatives including sending $1.00 from every block to an orphanage in Moldavia so your purchase helps not only your kids but kids around the world.

Knowing your product inside and out comes from years of assisting in the family business with a mom who has owned gyms and coached gymnastics your whole life. Grant Crum has first-hand experience watching his mom, Becki, run the gym, uncover roadblocks, and decide to develop her own products to meet the industry's needs. This has given Grant that same entrepreneurial spirit. 

In addition to his own education and business pursuits, Grant now works side-by-side with his mom to represent Coverall Products, the parent company behind The Original Block. Managing production, assisting with operations and propelling marketing forward, Grant brings a wealth of knowledge and hustle to the team, helping to take this family business to the next level -- and making your gym more successful in the process.
